We believe that the gospel is a life-changing message for all who hear it—kids included! So we want our children to hear about God’s grace in Christ Jesus and to learn how it shapes our lives and makes us who we are as Christians. Your kids will soak up this message as they embark together on this pirate-themed adventure anchored in the book of Ephesians.
VBS at Grace Church
Welcome to Vacation Bible School 2025 at Grace Church. We invite children ages entering first grade to entering 6th grade to embark on a fun-filled adventure as we explore the stories, lessons, and teachings of the Bible. Our VBS is a place where kids can learn, grow, and make lifelong memories.
Have you ever thought about how different this message of performance is from the Bible’s message of redemption? In 1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul says, “By the grace of God I am what I am.” In this PROOF Pirates curriculum, kids will explore Ephesians and learn about how God saves scallywags like you and me.
Here’s What To Expect
What better message for our children to hear than the PROOF of God’s grace! This exploration of Ephesians 1–2 reveals five never-to-be-forgotten elements of God’s grace:
- God’s grace is Planned: God mapped out salvation for his people (Ephesians 1:4–5).
- God’s grace is Resurrecting: When we were dead, God made us alive (Ephesians 2:4–5).
- God’s grace is Outrageous: God gives us Jesus as a free gift (Ephesians 1:7–8a).
- God’s grace is Overcoming: God changes our rebellion into surrender (Ephesians 1:13a).
- God’s grace is Forever: God’s people never drift away from his love (Ephesians 1:13b–14).
We want our kids to know their Savior—to know that it’s God’s grace that makes them who they are. We want to show kids that discovering God’s grace is a great adventure that should overwhelm them and fill them with a sense of wonder. Our hope is that our children will never cease to be amazed that God reached down and saved scallywags like us. We want them to know Jesus as their greatest treasure.
Engaging Bible Stories
Each day, children will dive into captivating Bible stories that bring the Scriptures to life. Our dynamic storytellers and interactive lessons will help them understand and apply these timeless truths.
Fun Activities
From arts and crafts to games and music, our VBS is packed with exciting activities that reinforce the day's lesson. Kids will have a blast while learning important biblical principles.
Music & Worship
Sing, dance, and worship with us! Our VBS includes lively music sessions where kids can express their faith through song and movement. It's a joyful celebration that brings everyone together.

We know that learning and playing can work up an appetite! We'll provide delicious snacks each day to keep everyone energized and ready for the next adventure.

Who can attend VBS?
Our VBS is open to children entering first grade to entering 6th grade. We welcome kids from our church community and beyond.
Is there a cost to attend?
VBS is free of charge. Donations are welcome to support our programs. There is a morning offering that is collected, and this year the children are raising money to support Teranga Village in Senegal.
What should my child bring?
The kids need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes appropriate for running and outdoor games. They should also wear sunscreen if they are prone to sunburn. All other materials will be provided.

Calling all VBS Volunteers!
Maybe you have seen the exciting news that preparation for VBS is underway at Grace Church! We are looking for many volunteers to run our program of PROOF Pirates this summer. VBS will take place June 16-20 from 9 am-12 pm. We need teachers, assistants, nursery staff, craft and recreation help, snack team members, and more!
