What to expect

What should I expect when I visit?

At Grace, we want to “clear the way” for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, insightful messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of Grace. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up questions like.

  • What should I wear…
  • What’s available for my kids…
  • What should I expect in the service?
So, here's a quick overview . . .

Who will be there? Here at Grace, you’ll find friendly people of all ages and backgrounds! When you enter the church looking for childcare, classes or the worship service, Grace greeters will be nearby to help you get where you need to go.

What will I find? You’ll find uplifting music and messages that help you deal with real life issues. What you learn on Sunday will help you know how to think about life and deal with every day realities through the week. We strive to facilitate an environment where you can “connect” with God and grow in the joy of knowing Him and living life with His forgiveness and help.

What should I wear? We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. You’ll find everything from casual to dressed-up, from jeans and t-shirts to suit and tie. Just be yourself and be comfortable, and you’ll fit in just fine.

What's the music like? We have two Sunday worship services. The 9:15 services lasts about an hour and 20 minutes. The music and feel of the service is a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. The 11:00 service is an hour long, and the music/feel is traditional. The Pastor’s message is the same in both services. Preaching is shared primarily between our Senior Pastor, Dr. Jonathan Seda and our Pastor of Community Outreach, Kenny Foster.

What about my kids? If you’re a parent, you’ll want to be sure your kids are in a safe and fun learning environment. In both services there are well-staffed nurseries, childcare or classes for infants through age 5. In the 9:15 AM service, there is also a special Children’s Worship for kids K4 through 3rd grade. And during the 11:00 service Christian education (Sunday School) classes are available for children all ages (though children's classes take a break during the summer).

We know there’s plenty to think about when you’re visiting a church for the first time. It’s our hope that getting some of these questions out of the way will make it easier for you to join us for church and “get in” on all that God has for you!
