Music Opportunities at Grace Church Dover

Grace Church is located 350 McKee Road in Northwest Dover, only 1 mile from the DSU campus and 2 miles from Wesley campus.

"Our vision is to love and serve our community with the good news of Jesus Christ, bringing people together across the lines of race and class in the worship of God."  We want to celebrate and demonstrate the gospel in a blended worship service which values and appreciates the diverse cultures of the people of our community, those we are seeking to love and serve with the gospel! More info about our vision.

We welcome student believers to our worship, fellowship and ministry. The Music Ministry is looking for students who share our vision and will attend regularly or attend and serve for a season as the Lord leads. These opportunities could be particularly appropriate for those who come from out of the Kent County area (and aren't already connected with a local church) or also for those who are led to work intentionally for a greater expression of unity and reconciliation in the gospel.

Here are some of the music/worship opportunities:

Worship Team - serve in a rotation averaging about once every three weeks, to help lead worship in our sanctuary or overflow area. Rehearsals are Saturday mornings from 8:30-9:45 AM.

Praise Choir - rehearses weekly on Thursday nights, 7:00-8:45 PM, sings once or twice a month in Sunday services, primarily the 9:15 service (sometimes also at the beginning of the 11:00 AM service)

Worship Band - keys, organ, bass, electric guitar.  Learning by ear is highly valued, but reading chord charts and lead sheets is essential (training available in chord theory/chart reading).  Rehearsals are Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:15 AM.

Worship Leader - training opportunities for those who demonstrate gifts, interest and commitment.

Choir Director - training opportunities for those who demonstrate gifts, interest and commitment.
