Block Party August 2

This will be an outreach event that we can help support. The Pastor Will Grimes has recently started coming to our Bible study/prayer time at Del State. This is something that we can partner with them on and at the same time begin to build a relationship with a neighboring church in the community. There are at least 4 churches involved in this Block Party: Solid Rock Baptist, First Baptist in Cheswold, Grace Church, and Eagles Wings Ministries.
Some things that will be happening there are: 3on3 Basketball tournament, The Clowns of Dover, face painting, Moon Bouncer, Music, Sankofa African Dancers, Delaware Health and Social Services, Dover Police D.A.R.E. Unit and much more!
And you can't beat the price...FREE! Please pray and come out to help in this mercy ministry outreach. Some volunteers, donations of supplies, hot dogs and hot dog buns are needed. If you have an hour or two in which you can help with this event, please contact Kenny Foster (734-8150) ext. 12 or (423-364-6536). Back to School Block Party, yeah! Let's bring some hope to the hood in Jesus name!

Yes, going back to school is a time to Party! Not just for parents, but for children too! On Saturday August 2nd, 2008 the Solid Rock Baptist Church is hosting a Community back to School Block Party. The times are from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and the location is N West St. between Cecil and Fulton St. in Dover. They are looking to give away 200 book bags along with school supplies to some of the children of the community.This will be an outreach event that we can help support.
