Crossroads Presbyterian Church has invited us to come and join them at The Gibby (51 W. Main St. Middletown) on Friday, November 9th at 7:30 pm to hear an update from MTW missionary Jim Wheeler and Mamadou Diop about the Senegal Girls Home ministry.  Tickets are $10 and include a concert, drinks and appetizers.  Contact Jenn Seda at jennseda@yahoo.com if you are interested in purchasing tickets or finding out how you can donate.

The Senegal Girls Home is a home that saves girls that are at risk for being trafficked.  Jim & Karen Weaver, our missionaries in Senegal, are involved in this ministry, and both Jim and the leader of the Presbyterian church in Senegal, Pastor Mamadou Diop, will be giving us a ministry update!

This event is for those who are interested in partnering with this ministry in either the monthly sponsorship of the girls or the one time donations towards their facility project.  The monthly sponsorship provides the girls with food, clothing, a safe home, and an education.  And of the 37 girls being cared for by the Senegal Girls Home, 13 are currently without any financial sponsors.

The facilities project is focused on building new cottages on land previously purchased so that the monthly cost of caring for each girl is reduced and that more girls can eventually join the home.

In addition to the ministry updates, we are going to have Brian O'Sullivan's band play for us, some food & drinks, and a great time of fellowship as we learn how we can make an impact in these children's lives.
